Goat's Milk is a Natural Functional Food, Scientists Conclude

It took Spanish scientists to make it official, but the facts are clear: goat's milk is an antidote and preventive for anemia, high cholesterol,neurodegenerative diseases, and osteoporosis. "Moreover, we have reported the positive influence of goat milk consumption on antioxidant defence and DNA stability," the scientists concluded. They claim that goat's milk consumption should be increased in the general population for better health.

Goat's Milk Used in Preventive Medicine Against AIDS

Did you know that goat's milk has been found effective fighting HIV AIDS?  Research several years ago in Mexico was the first to recognize that goat's milk kept AIDS from developing in HIV cases. Firm to supply goat milk powder to US to fight AIDS

A Noida-based firm, Goatfresh Farm Private Ltd, has said it will supply goat milk powder manufactured in Madhya Pradesh to a US-based firm for making preventive medicines against AIDS.

The company has claimed it was setting up Asia’s biggest goat cheese plant in Khajuraho. The plant is likely to be operational by February 2011. It has already started construction work on the plant, which would also export its products to South Korea. The company will invest Rs 38 crore in the project.

“We have reached at an advance state of talks with a US-based firm to supply goat milk powder which will be manufactured at our Khajuraho plant,” a company source told Business Standard. Adding: “They have patent to make medicines against AIDS and goat milk powder is a key ingredient.”

First of its kind in the state, the plant will process 5,000 litres of goat milk per day with an investment of Rs 38-40 crore. “We will start commercial production by February. We have already entered in a deal with state livestock and poultry corporation to get facilitation pertaining to insemination and feed for goats,” the source added.

Goat milk contains all the essential amino acids for optimal health it requires minimum process to preserve its original composition. It also contains as many as 14 strains of probiotics and abundant of digestive enzymes.

“The cheese will be supplied to a Korean firm but a portion of it will also be available for domestic market,” added the source. The company is in process of acquiring 10,000 goats of Sirohi and Jamnapari varieties. It will hire 2,000 local farmers for indirect jobs and is likely to create 57 direct jobs.
